SCADA Engineering Intern (Instrumentation and Controls)

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana, United States; onsite in the Lafayette office with field start-up and troubleshooting work

What you will do

• Program PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications.
• Test industrial control systems and start up systems in the field.
• Assist with field investigations, start-up activities, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.
• Support the development of the internal training program for Ignition SCADA.
• Handle assigned projects independently and collaborate with the Senior SCADA Engineer and Project Manager.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an ABET/EAC-accredited four-year bachelor's degree program.
• Degree focus in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or Chemical Engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Articulate and concise written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, manage solo projects, learn quickly, and maintain attention to detail.
