What you will do
- Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
- Coordinate product improvements and new product releases with other engineering functions and manage manufacturing engineering projects.
- Apply Design for Excellence principles to reduce manufacturing and product costs and improve quality.
- Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
- Develop test procedures, evaluate results, and identify root causes and corrective actions for assembly and system-testing issues.
- Lead supplier issue management, support troubleshooting, and mentor junior engineers; travel is required approximately 25% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 4β7 years of experience.
- Conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving.
- Ability to work in physical manufacturing environments, including clean rooms, tight spaces, and areas requiring standing, walking, lifting, and use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment and distinguish between colors.
