Director, Systems Project Management & Commissioning

Location: Saint Germain en Laye, Yvelines, France; the role description also specifies Bad Kreuznach, Germany, and an on-site work arrangement.

What you will do

• Lead the global project management organization for Food & Beverage systems projects.
• Establish project management processes, governance, stage gates, and performance metrics based on hirify.global Business System principles.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, schedules, cost control, customer communication, and contract execution.
• Lead global commissioning activities, including startup, testing, commissioning readiness reviews, and customer acceptance.
• Own project risk management, mitigation, escalation, contingency planning, and executive reviews.
• Develop Project Managers and Commissioning Engineers through coaching, succession planning, and DBS training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Successful leadership experience in project management, systems engineering, capital projects, or industrial process systems.
• Experience leading global, cross-functional, and diverse teams.
• Strong project financial management, risk management, contract management, and change control experience.
• Experience driving operational excellence and process improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, DBS, or similar methods.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel internationally.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• PMP certification.
• Experience in Food & Beverage, Life Sciences, Process Industries, or engineered systems.
