iOS Engineer III - Brand Expedia (Swift)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States

Salary: $146,000–$204,500 total cash annually, with potential performance-based pay up to $233,500.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable iOS applications for Brand Expedia travel experiences.
• Own end-to-end delivery of substantial mobile features, from requirements analysis and low-level design through deployment and operation.
• Create maintainable APIs and data models supporting performant and secure mobile applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and other technical teams to solve complex customer and business problems.
• Improve application quality through automated testing, observability, performance optimization, code reviews, and incident resolution.
• Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled capabilities while evaluating their safety, effectiveness, and operational impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience developing and delivering production iOS applications using Swift.
• Experience owning mobile product features through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing operation.
• Strong knowledge of software design, low-level design, API integration, data modeling, debugging, testing, version control, and continuous delivery.
• Ability to collaborate across technical domains and deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience operating iOS applications at significant scale with a focus on performance, reliability, security, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Advanced knowledge of SwiftUI and experience with GraphQL integration.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML concepts or integrating AI-enabled capabilities into mobile products.
• Experience using coding agents such as Claude or comparable AI-assisted development tools.
