What you will do

• Define the multi-year technical vision and architecture principles for the iOS platform to be adopted company-wide.
• Lead the design of scalable mobile frameworks and foundational systems serving tens of thousands of daily users.
• Partner with executive leadership (VP level) to align iOS capabilities with strategic business outcomes and roadmaps.
• Serve as the primary technical authority for iOS, resolving complex cross-functional ambiguities and owning high-stakes architectural decisions.
• Architect scalable backend integrations using GraphQL and champion the use of The Composable Architecture (TCA).
• Define and implement the AI-assisted development strategy using tools like Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor.

Requirements

• 12+ years of mobile development experience with deep specialization in iOS.
• Expert-level mastery of Swift and a proven track record of delivering architecture for large-scale mobile platforms.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong hands-on experience with GraphQL and advanced shared state patterns in TCA.
• Exceptional ability to lead without authority and communicate complex technical trade-offs to diverse audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience at scale.

Nice to have

• Strong proficiency with SwiftUI and experience leading its adoption in production codebases.
• Experience with MVI architecture patterns and evaluating architectural trade-offs.
• Experience designing CI/CD systems at scale using Bitrise or GitHub Actions.
• Open source contributions or public technical writing that has influenced iOS engineering practices.
