Driver - Equipment Coordinator Hourly (Class A)

What you will do

• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs for tractors, trailers, and yard equipment.
• Create, submit, and track maintenance work orders and repair progress.
• Maintain equipment registrations, permits, compliance records, inspections, and maintenance history.
• Operate a yard hostler, move trailers, organize the yard, and complete daily equipment checks.
• Coordinate with drivers, technicians, vendors, dispatch, and operations to resolve equipment issues and reduce downtime.
• Provide occasional route coverage and complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections when operating company equipment.

Requirements

• Class A commercial driver's license required.
• Ability to operate company equipment and safely move trailers in a yard environment.
• Knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance, equipment compliance, registrations, and fleet documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, fleet management systems, and related technology.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather, climb in and out of equipment, walk the yard, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and independent-work skills.
