CDL A Yard Driver

What you will do

• Reposition commercial tractors and trailers throughout the yard and back trailers to dock doors.
• Shuttle tractors and trailers to and from logistics and lease suppliers, and take trailers for washing and cleaning.
• Inspect vehicles, document defects, maintain equipment readings, and communicate maintenance needs.
• Ensure refrigerated trailers maintain appropriate temperatures and are available for warehouse loading and unloading.
• Assist with trailer unloading, backhauls, and designated delivery routes when required.
• Follow hirify.global, DOT, and federal, state, and local safety procedures and complete required paperwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Six months of verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience; one year preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL with air-brake qualification and a current DOT medical certificate.
• Meet required motor vehicle record standards and pass recurring background checks.
• Availability for overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and occasional short-notice schedule changes.
