Patient Registration/Billing Coordinator (Healthcare)

Location: Monroe, Louisiana, USA; onsite at the clinic. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–12:30 PM, with a rotating Saturday shift.

Pay: $22.50 per hour plus a bonus structure.

What you will do

• Welcome patients and visitors and provide a professional front-office experience.
• Register new and returning patients while verifying demographic, insurance, and identification information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and prior authorizations; explain coverage and payment responsibilities.
• Collect copays, deductibles, and coinsurance and process daily financial transactions.
• Answer calls, protect patient privacy, and support compliance with applicable regulations.
• Prepare reports and statements, maintain financial records, process reimbursements, and support filing, data entry, inventory, and office errands.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of general office clerk experience, including basic math, accounting, and cash handling.
• Front desk, admissions, billing, or collections experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic data entry, keyboarding, office equipment, customer service, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment involving prolonged standing, frequent computer use, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Nice to have

• Healthcare experience, especially in a medical or opioid treatment program setting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and enforce fee collection policies.
