TL;DR

Location: On-site at Ardent - Lovelace Women's Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico; limited to individuals who reside and are authorized to work in the United States

Salary: $18.65–$20.50 per hour, based on experience

What you will do

  • Review uninsured and under-insured patients for Medicaid and hospital financial assistance eligibility.
  • Interview patients, obtain required documentation, and coordinate accurate application submissions.
  • Follow applications through determination and update insurance information.
  • Support timely billing and financial adjustment posting.
  • Document patient interactions and actions in patient accounting systems.
  • Collaborate with Medicaid caseworkers and revenue cycle departments.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of healthcare experience involving patient interactions about hospital financial matters.
  • High school diploma or GED; equivalent post-secondary education and experience may be considered.
  • Understanding of revenue cycle processes, including admissions, billing, payments, and denials.
  • Knowledge of insurance requirements, authorizations, benefits verification, medical terminology, or procedure codes.
  • Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
  • CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire.

Nice to have

  • Patient Access experience with managed care and insurance.
  • Call Center experience.
  • Openness to using AI and innovation to improve processes and patient experiences.
