Director, Insights and Analytics (Biotech)

Location: Waltham, MA, United States; onsite

Salary: $190,000–$240,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead long-range global forecasting models, scenario planning, lifecycle management, and commercial assessments for clinical and pipeline assets.
• Design and manage global primary and secondary market research, including RFPs, vendor selection, and project execution.
• Lead competitive intelligence strategy, monitoring, congress intelligence, market analysis, and executive briefings.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, performance frameworks, and advanced analytics using internal and external data.
• Translate complex data and research into actionable recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Partner with Brand, Market Access, Finance, Supply, Trade, IT, and Commercial Operations while building data literacy and adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, PhD, or PharmD preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in forecasting, market research, competitive intelligence, and/or data analytics within biotech or pharmaceutical environments.
• Experience with product launches or rare disease markets is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory, compliance, privacy, and data governance requirements in pharma and biotech.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data, communicate insights clearly, and create impactful presentations for senior leadership.
• Experience leading through influence in matrixed organizations and managing external vendors, including negotiations and performance oversight.
