Obesity Intelligence & Analytics, Senior Director, Global Insights (Biotech)

What you will do

• Lead the global insights agenda for the obesity therapeutic area, including MariTide, pipeline assets, and broader portfolio opportunities.
• Design and execute primary market research across asset assessment, clinical development, positioning, segmentation, launch planning, lifecycle management, and indication expansion.
• Integrate market research, secondary analytics, forecasting, competitive intelligence, advisory boards, real-world evidence, and internal expertise.
• Develop business cases, scenario analyses, strategic workshops, and executive narratives for portfolio, investment, clinical development, and governance decisions.
• Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Medical, Clinical Development, Forecasting, Analytics, Competitive Intelligence, Value & Access, and other stakeholders.
• Lead research partners, direct reports, and cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree and 9 years, or bachelor’s degree and 11 years.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience or leadership experience directing teams, major programs, complex projects, or significant resources.
• Experience in market research, commercial insights, analytics, competitive intelligence, forecasting, strategy, marketing, or a related discipline.
• Ability to advise senior leaders, frame ambiguous business questions, evaluate complex evidence, and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
• Strong understanding of drug development, commercialization, portfolio strategy, and the healthcare environment.
• Ability to work 3 days on campus in Thousand Oaks, California.

Nice to have

• Experience in obesity, cardiometabolic disease, or another complex and rapidly evolving therapeutic area.
• Experience supporting early- and late-stage assets, product launches, lifecycle planning, or portfolio investment decisions.
• Experience leading primary research and integrating it with secondary data, analytics, competitive intelligence, and forecasting.
• Executive communication, storytelling, people leadership, and stakeholder influence skills.
