Senior Project/Construction Manager (Data Centres)

Location: Queensland, Australia; FIFO/DIDO with required site presence. Candidates must be based across Australia and able to commit to regular site visits.

What you will do

• Act as the senior client-side representative embedded within the client's team on a major data centre project.
• Oversee developer and contractor delivery against programme, quality and client requirements.
• Lead weekly and bi-weekly site visits and chair developer roundtables.
• Identify delivery risks, blockers and friction points early, and drive accountability across project interfaces.
• Protect the critical path, pursue acceleration and support programme recovery where required.
• Prepare site visit reports, roundtable minutes, action logs, recovery logs and milestone updates.

Requirements

• 15–20 years of total project and construction management experience.
• At least 8 years of experience delivering data centre projects.
• General contractor background or equivalent senior direct site delivery experience.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from mobilisation through construction completion.
• Experience managing GC, EC and MC interfaces, contractor accountability, critical paths and programme recovery.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Postgraduate qualification in Project Management, such as a Master's degree or PMP/AIPM certification.
