Principal Engineer, SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS)

Salary: $124,500–$236,500 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and implement SAP GTS E4H-centric solutions for Global Trade and Compliance.
• Lead technology proposals and improvement programs addressing complex business and compliance challenges.
• Evaluate SAP GTS technology advances and recommend implementation strategies.
• Partner with Global Trade and Compliance stakeholders and service providers to define and deliver solutions.
• Review system lifecycle artifacts, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning, and ensure quality standards.
• Mentor team members and communicate progress and risks to executives, peers, and staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of application program development experience, master’s degree with 7 years, or PhD with 3 years.
• Deep expertise in Global Trade and Compliance procedures, including SAP GTS Legal Control, Compliance, and Customs Management for import and export transactions.
• Strong ABAP programming and SAP solution design experience.
• Experience with software design, development, data integration, and cloud environments such as SAP RISE.
• Experience with system validation, enhancement, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Ability to write functional specifications for custom programs and work in accordance with GxP, data security, and software development lifecycle standards.

Nice to have

• Pharmaceutical industry experience or an academic background in International Trade.
• Experience with SAP GTS Special Customs Procedures and Preference Management.
• SAP S/4HANA Logistics and Supply Chain experience.
• Experience with AI tools.
