Senior IAM Engineer (M&A)

Salary: $96,500–$183,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead technical onboarding and identity integration for newly acquired entities, divestitures, and other multi-company collaborations.
• Design and implement identity federation and trust models across multiple domains and Active Directory forests.
• Drive the migration of users, devices, and applications from legacy environments to standardized platforms.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows for identity provisioning and deprovisioning during M&A transitions.
• Act as the primary liaison between identity, technical, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to identity architecture, M&A playbooks, standards, due diligence, and post-merger integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience, master’s degree with 5 years, or PhD with no stated experience requirement.
• Direct experience in information security, preferably as a security or identity engineer.
• Experience with M&A, divestitures, or multi-company collaborations.
• Experience with cloud identity providers such as Entra, Okta, or PingOne, including SAML, OIDC, and OAuth 2.0.
• Proficiency in Active Directory domains, forests, and trusts, plus knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, and collaboration platforms.
• Knowledge of least privilege, access lifecycle management, identity governance, and enterprise security frameworks, with strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Security architecture experience across cloud, application, network, or identity security.
• Identity-focused certifications such as Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator, Okta, or Ping Identity certifications.
• Familiarity with NIST 800 and ISO 27001.
• Relevant SANS or AWS certifications.
