Senior Information Security Engineer (Windows Infrastructure)

Location: East Syracuse, New York, United States. Onsite customer and system deployment work is required. Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to access classified information.

Salary: $101,600–$132,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, document, and maintain security architectures, network designs, and cloud infrastructures.
• Configure and harden Windows Server and workstation environments, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Deploy Windows-based platforms and integrate hardware, operating systems, third-party software, and hirify.global applications for air traffic control systems.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability reviews, penetration testing, remediation, and compliance activities.
• Implement role-based access control, least-privilege models, patch processes, and security configurations.
• Provide technical leadership, documentation, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer to deployment teams and customer stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, information technology, information security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of experience administering and securing Microsoft Windows environments.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience creating and managing Windows domains, Active Directory structures, Group Policy Objects, and Windows Deployment Services.
• Experience integrating third-party software into Windows environments and applying Windows security architecture and hardening practices.
• U.S. citizenship is required; eligibility for access to classified information and successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with PXE boot, BIOS configuration, RBAC, identity management, security assessments, and remediation.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms, NIST, CIS Benchmarks, or ISO 27001.
• CompTIA Security+, CISSP, Microsoft security or identity certifications, or GIAC certifications.
• Experience with Hyper-V, Splunk, PDQ, or RSA Authentication Manager.
