Software Engineer III (Java)

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas, United States; hybrid work primarily in the office

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible Regional Pay Zone compensation.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and support secure, scalable Java applications and Spring Boot microservices.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, RESTful APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Build high-performance big data ETL solutions and data analytics capabilities.
• Use Azure services, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver cloud-native applications.
• Troubleshoot production issues through root cause analysis, resolution, action planning, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and guide implementation strategies and technical decisions.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of software engineering experience, or a bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 2 years of experience, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, ORM, OOP, design patterns, and SQL knowledge.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and scalable, secure microservices.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Azure services including Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, AKS, App Services, and DevOps.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and supporting high-performance cloud-native systems.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with React, React Native, and JavaScript for web, desktop, or mobile applications.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
