Location: Field-based in Washington, D.C.; permanent residence in the listed territory required. The role includes up to 50% on-site work with healthcare providers and travel across assigned oncology accounts.

Base pay: $102,000–$177,100 per year.

What you will do

  • Educate healthcare providers and office staff on reimbursement processes, claims submission, coding, coverage, and payer procedures.
  • Resolve patient access and affordability issues across Medicare, Medicaid managed care, commercial, pharmacy, and medical benefits.
  • Build trusted relationships with oncology accounts and serve as the reimbursement subject-matter expert for the local field team.
  • Collaborate with sales, managed care, medical, marketing, compliance, and patient-support stakeholders.
  • Manage territory logistics, routing, account planning, and field-based reimbursement support.
  • Maintain current knowledge of payer policies, market dynamics, hub services, and specialty distribution channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare, business, or public administration.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in reimbursement, account management, managed care, revenue cycle, or provider-office operations.
  • Expertise in pharmacy and medical benefits, buy-and-bill, coding, billing, prior authorization, appeals, and payer approval processes.
  • Experience working with patient-support HUB services and building relationships in provider-office settings.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, influence, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
  • Valid US driver’s license and permanent residence in the listed territory required.

Nice to have

  • Oncology disease-state experience.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in prior authorization, billing, or coding.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private payer initiatives, and pharmaceutical reimbursement.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Interest in applying emerging technologies such as AI.
