Process Engineer I (Electronics)

Location: New Haven major market / Hartford secondary market; onsite process engineering work in a manufacturing environment.

Salary: $71,822–$107,732 per year, plus a performance-related bonus plan.

What you will do

• Maintain Statistical Process Control for key products and monitor production quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and process consistency.
• Investigate out-of-control products and process failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare statistical reports for customers and manage Nonconforming Material Reports through timely closeout.
• Support quality investigations and customer complaints, including Corrective Action Requests.
• Write and update work instructions, troubleshoot process equipment, and coordinate equipment and instrumentation calibration.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Production on equipment repairs, process changes, and Management of Change procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
• 0–3 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with P&IDs, basic process control, pumps, piping systems, control valves, mixers, solids handling, and environmental control equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written or verbal instructions and work effectively with cross-functional departments.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
