Process Engineering Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Salary: $128,636–$192,954 annually, plus a performance-related bonus plan.

What you will do

• Lead the design, scale-up, validation, and implementation of chemical manufacturing processes from laboratory and pilot scale through full production.
• Oversee pilot-scale experiments, testing programs, process simulations, and equipment validation to improve yield, quality, throughput, and performance.
• Partner with R&D, Operations, Quality, Marketing, and other functions to transfer technology and integrate processes into manufacturing operations.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, KPI monitoring, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Guide the development of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, process specifications, test methods, and standardized operating approaches.
• Manage engineering projects and cross-functional initiatives while supporting process safety, regulatory compliance, capital investment, and asset integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with more than 15 years of chemical process engineering experience, or a master’s degree with at least 10 years of progressive experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong experience in chemical, process, or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Broad knowledge of process safety, mechanical systems, utilities, controls, capital projects, and maintenance or reliability frameworks.
• Experience leading engineering teams, managing technical interfaces, prioritizing work by risk and business impact, and influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, accountability, integrity, and professionalism skills.
