Faculty Preceptor (Vocational Nursing)

Location: San Jose, CA, USA; campus-based position

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do

• Facilitate orientation, training, and development for new and existing vocational nursing faculty.
• Review instructional quality and introduce effective faculty training techniques.
• Assess faculty learning needs, create development plans, and collaborate with program directors, lead faculty, and faculty development teams.
• Coordinate mock skills check-offs, theory observations, clinical training, and the transition from faculty development to the hiring campus.
• Develop orientation materials, conduct exit meetings, provide feedback, and support faculty during their first 90 days.
• Assist with curriculum reviews, instructional materials, program reports, committees, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current California licensure.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with a minimum of a BA/BS; MSN preferred.
• Current knowledge of nursing practice and the ability to mentor faculty in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Knowledge of nursing sciences, teaching modalities, curriculum, and electronic learning resources.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
