Director of Financial Aid

Location: San Jose, California, USA; regular in-person attendance on campus up to 5 days per week is required.

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year, depending on financial aid experience.

What you will do

• Process student records in the Federal COD system, including Direct Loan and Pell Grant disbursements and reconciliations.
• Award state and federal financial aid and process verification, disbursements, and Return of Title IV calculations.
• Conduct internal file audits and run reports to verify processing integrity.
• Manage cohort default-rate activities, including weekly CDR reporting, exit procedures, loan-management updates, and NSLDS maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and support CampusVue exports, imports, loan-management functions, and system restructuring.
• Coordinate with students, faculty, staff, the VP of Financial Aid, and back-office and front-office personnel.

Requirements

• 5+ years of financial aid experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong customer service, organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work on site and collaborate in person with students, faculty, and staff.
