UI Engineering Lead (Unreal Engine)

Location: United States, Remote; flexible remote work with pay varying by geographic location.

Base pay range: $197,400–$296,000 USD per year for the Seattle example location.

What you will do

• Build and maintain production-quality UI systems, workflows, and tools in C++ using Unreal Engine 5.
• Directly hire, manage, mentor, and develop engineers in the UI discipline.
• Provide technical guidance on UX/UI systems to gameplay and other cross-functional disciplines.
• Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to create player experiences for a new intellectual property and genre.

Requirements

• Write, debug, and maintain production code in C++.
• Build and maintain diverse UX/UI systems, including HUDs, front-end menus, fonts, and localization workflows.
• Lead engineers through direct management, mentoring, or technical guidance.
• Develop with Unreal Engine.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work authorization and employment location must align with the United States remote arrangement.

• Development experience across PC and console platforms.
• Experience with real-time action multiplayer games.
• Experience shipping one or more game titles.
• Experience working with codevelopment partners or contractors.
