Corporate Accounting Specialist - Reporting - Intern

Salary: $20.00 per hour; $500 sign-on bonus. Relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Support reviews of monthly financial statements, shareholder reports, FCA Call Reports, board reports, and related schedules.
• Prepare and review general ledger balance sheet reconciliations and coordinate resolution of discrepancies.
• Assist with quarterly information requests, CMR reporting, variance analysis, materiality analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Support PCA/FLCA allocations and annual patronage program analysis.
• Recommend and assist with reporting-system and accounting-process improvements.
• Support internal and external audits, deficiency remediation, documentation requests, and fraud-control initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business, Banking, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and identify process-improvement opportunities.
• Available for a 12-week summer internship.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, FCA regulations, applicable banking requirements, association policies, and internal control over financial reporting is relevant to the role.
