Accounting Intern

What you will do

• Assist with month-end close activities, reconciliations, SOX control testing, and accounting projects.
• Support financial reporting, accounting, and compliance processes through data analysis, documentation, testing, and research.
• Work with GAAP, SOX, SEC, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Gain exposure to accounting and regulatory requirements in the mortgage insurance industry.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand finance and mortgage insurance operations.

Requirements

• Rising senior or graduate student pursuing an Accounting degree.
• Planning to pursue a CPA license after graduation.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles and GAAP concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
