Senior Software Engineering Manager (Test Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid in San Jose, California; onsite at the San Jose office three days per week.

Salary: $241,000–$266,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop software engineers building critical testing infrastructure.
• Build a roadmap for testing capabilities in collaboration with engineering leaders, architects, customers, and cross-functional partners.
• Guide projects that improve tested software outcomes for ground and space systems.
• Develop quality and performance metrics to drive engineering improvements.
• Establish scalable organizational processes and manage team capacity, staffing, hiring, coaching, and performance development.
• Provide responsible and compassionate leadership in a fast-growing organization.

Requirements

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years managing software engineering teams building production systems.
• Experience managing effective testing teams and programs, including reliable software tools.
• Experience with software project resource estimation, scheduling, hiring, training, and promotion of engineers.
• Significant development experience with C++, Python, or TypeScript.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional stakeholders. Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, eligibility without export authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining authorization.

Nice to have

• Statistical analysis and failure analysis experience.
• Hardware-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop testing experience.
• Manufacturing test automation and assembly process automation knowledge.
• Experience building interactive reporting tools.
• Familiarity with space-industry technology, terminology, and practices.
