Senior Platform Engineer (GitHub Migration Specialist) (GitHub Enterprise Cloud): Migrating enterprise-scale repositories, user accounts, access controls, and workflows to governed GitHub Enterprise Cloud environments with an accent on Enterprise Managed Users, identity and access management, data residency, and preserving Git history and metadata. Focus on designing scalable internal developer platforms, validating dependent toolchains, and automating cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD workflows.
Location: Remote; daily overlap with EST business hours is expected.

What you will do
- Lead enterprise-scale migrations to GitHub Enterprise Cloud using GitHub Enterprise Importer and Enterprise Managed Users.
- Migrate repositories, user accounts, access controls, workflows, branch protections, Git history, and metadata.
- Establish governed identity and access management with centralized, team-based permissions and data residency.
- Validate integrations and dependent toolchains before cutover to maintain operational continuity.
- Design, standardize, and maintain scalable internal developer platforms and self-service infrastructure capabilities.
- Develop automated CI/CD and infrastructure workflows and deliver fully documented environments for handoff.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with cloud-native platform migrations and modern compute, storage, and authentication primitives.
- Expertise in GitHub Enterprise Cloud migrations, GitHub Enterprise Importer, and Enterprise Managed Users.
- Experience building scalable platform services and managing the full lifecycle of internal developer platforms.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration, distributed systems, platform APIs, and cloud-native architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins, plus Terraform and HashiCorp tooling.
- Strong automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with excellent communication, problem-solving, mentoring, and independent-working abilities.
