Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States, with 1–2 remote days per week depending on tasking

Develops and operates mission-critical production systems across multiple network environments.

What you will do

• Deploy and configure applications across multiple network environments using Kubernetes.
• Design, establish, and document repeatable deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Modify and troubleshoot Java Spring back-end and Vue.js front-end components.
• Diagnose issues across infrastructure, middleware, and application layers during environment standup and stabilization.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams, software developers, and system engineers on deployment and operational standards.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph required.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized applications with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience developing or modifying Java/Spring Boot applications and Vue.js applications or comparable front-end frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, distributed web application deployments, Linux administration, and Git.
• Ability to work onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, with limited remote work based on tasking.

Nice to have

• Experience with isolated or classified network environments.
• AWS cloud-native architecture and deployment experience.
• Terraform, Ansible, or Python scripting and development.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, NiFi, MongoDB, or government reporting and dissemination policies.
