Platform Engineer (CNCF/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Build and improve internal platform capabilities used by engineering teams and customers across ACRA.
• Design tooling, automation, integrations, golden paths, reusable templates, and self-service workflows that improve developer velocity and operational consistency.
• Build platform primitives for application lifecycle management, environment provisioning, deployment automation, configuration, secrets, observability, and controlled execution.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, release workflows, deployment safety, rollback strategies, and environment management.
• Develop systems that operate across GCP, on-premise, bare-metal, sovereign cloud, air-gapped, and customer-managed environments.
• Contribute to observability, alerting, logging, tracing, dashboards, production debugging, and platform standards.

Requirements

• Experience in platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, backend engineering, SRE, or developer tooling.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and modern deployment workflows.
• Production-quality automation or tooling experience in Go, Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and GitOps, especially Terraform, Argo CD, Helm, or Kustomize.
• Strong system design fundamentals covering reliability, scalability, observability, failure handling, and maintainability.
• Ability to work across infrastructure, backend, product, and leadership in a startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience building internal developer platforms, paved roads, golden paths, or platform-as-a-product capabilities.
• Experience with GCP, on-premise, bare-metal, air-gapped, or restricted deployment environments.
• Knowledge of service mesh, network policy, secrets management, supply-chain security, or policy-as-code.
• Familiarity with CNCF tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, Istio, Cilium, Envoy, Backstage, and Crossplane.
• Experience with secure or regulated environments such as defence, government, fintech, healthcare, critical infrastructure, or sovereign cloud.
