Security Engineer - Networking, Tapestry (GCP)

Location: Hybrid work model in Mountain View, San Francisco, Austin, or New York, United States

Salary: $174,000–$255,000 base salary per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and govern secure GCP perimeter and cloud networking architecture.
• Implement private-only connectivity with VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, Cloud NAT, Private Service Connect, and zero-default VPC configurations.
• Protect grid infrastructure from multi-layer DDoS attacks and maintain resilient, high-availability connectivity across the OSI model.
• Codify firewall rules, VPC peering, access controls, and other security policies as version-controlled Terraform code.
• Audit networks for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and drift, then partner with engineering teams on remediation.
• Integrate network security monitoring and telemetry with AppSec, SecEng/Ops, DataSec, DevOps, and Grid Engineering teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of ehirify.globalperience in network security engineering, cloud-native security, or related infrastructure security.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent ehirify.globalperience.
• Deep ehirify.globalpertise in GCP networking security, including VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, Cloud IDS, and Identity-Aware Prohirify.globaly.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, perimeter defenses, and DDoS mitigation across all OSI layers.
• Ehirify.globalperience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code for building and managing security policies.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and first-principles problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Ehirify.globalperience securing regulated energy utilities or critical infrastructure under NERC CIP or FERC requirements.
• Ehirify.globalperience with SAST, DAST, SCA, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
