Network Security Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Sunnyvale, CA, with regular on-site work in data centers

What you will do

• Operate firewalls, ACLs, segmentation, and network security controls across data center, corporate, AWS, compute, customer, and infrastructure environments.
• Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and manage the lifecycle of on-premises and data center network infrastructure.
• Manage public exposure, NAT, load balancers, DNS filtering, proxies, egress policies, VPN, ZTNA, NAC, Wi-Fi, and partner connectivity.
• Conduct firewall rule reviews, segmentation audits, and remediation of unnecessary network exposure.
• Automate network and security workflows using Terraform, Ansible, Python, GitOps, and policy as code.
• Support network telemetry, detection, investigation, incident containment, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in network security, network engineering, cloud security, or infrastructure security.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, ACLs, segmentation, routing, switching, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience operating data center and on-premises network infrastructure, plus AWS networking with VPCs, transit gateways, security groups, and load balancers.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Juniper, Cloudflare, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Python, GitOps, or comparable automation tools.
• Ability to work regularly on-site in Sunnyvale, CA and perform hands-on work in data center environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI, HPC, or large-scale compute environments.
• Experience with ZTNA, VPN architectures, DNS filtering, SWG, proxy, or SASE platforms.
• Experience with vendor and partner connectivity, public exposure remediation, network detection, and incident response.
