Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States — Home Office

Salary: $117,000–$234,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Own feature and model delivery across implementation, iteration, testing, and ongoing support.
• Write reliable code and drive the full software development lifecycle, including continuous integration, deployment, and automated testing.
• Integrate AI/ML components and generative AI tools into software platforms.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems and participate in technical design reviews.
• Translate complex business problems into technical requirements and measurable success metrics.
• Monitor application performance, mentor peers, and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Expertise in object-oriented programming, debugging, code review, and documentation-based coding practices.
• Experience delivering scoped features through collaborative engineering teams.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components and using generative AI tools.
• Must work from the Sunnyvale, California, United States location.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
