Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco

Compensation: $125,000 – $250,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable, fast local and remote development environments.
• Design and implement gated deployment processes and automated schema migrations.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code standards and consolidate cloud environments on AWS.
• Develop internal developer portals and ownership registries to improve engineering productivity.
• Implement observability foundations including tracing, logging, and incident management.
• Support AI-first development by building gateways and governance tools for internal AI agents.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on infrastructure or platform work.
• Strong proficiency with AWS, containers, and Linux fundamentals.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript or Python.
• Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spacelift, Atlantis, Datadog, or GitHub Actions.
• Background in incident management and maintaining high-traffic systems.
• Experience supporting non-engineer contributors in shipping fixes.
