Sr. Solutions Architect (Financial Services)

Location: Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, or Washington, D.C.

Salary: $219,100–$301,300 USD annually, with potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive technical and consumption strategies for complex enterprise customer engagements.
• Advise senior stakeholders on enterprise data and AI strategy while building executive-level relationships.
• Lead architecture engagements involving multi-workload platforms, enterprise migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale.
• Develop competitive strategies and position Databricks against incumbent and emerging platforms.
• Coordinate DSAs, SSAs, partners, and product teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
• Mentor junior solutions architects and contribute to customer-facing thought leadership, workshops, and community activities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, principal engineering, technical pre-sales leadership, or a senior customer-facing technical role.
• Expert coding proficiency in Python and SQL; Spark or PySpark is preferred. The interview includes live coding and a platform build.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, streaming and real-time architectures, lakehouse design, data governance, and cloud-native platforms.
• Expert-level Databricks Platform knowledge or equivalent expertise with competing platforms and demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
• Experience driving platform adoption, consumption growth, competitive displacements, and complex enterprise evaluations.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Databricks certifications.
• Experience at Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Google, Microsoft, or another leading data and AI company.
• Published thought leadership, conference presentations, or open-source contributions.
• Industry expertise with executive-level credibility in financial services or another relevant vertical.
