What you will do

• Lead complex migrations from legacy data platforms to Snowflake and design migration plans tailored to customer architectures.
• Act as the technical expert for Snowflake implementations, partnering with customers and system integrators.
• Deploy Snowflake according to best practices and provide knowledge transfer so customers can extend the platform independently.
• Evaluate competitive and complementary technologies and position Snowflake appropriately.
• Create presentations, document project learnings, and develop utilities and accelerators for migration activities.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and marketing.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working with customers in pre-sales or post-sales technical roles, preferably as a solutions architect.
• Experience migrating from one data platform to another and addressing the challenges of moving to a new platform.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouse systems such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Teradata, Redshift, Netezza, SAP HANA, Greenplum, or Exadata.
• End-to-end experience migrating on-premises data warehouse solutions to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including whiteboarding, presentations, and demos.
• Understanding of the full data analytics stack, from ETL and data platform design to BI and analytics tools.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.
• University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• 3 years of technical consulting experience.
• Experience with non-relational platforms and large-scale data processing tools such as Hadoop or HBase.
• Familiarity with BI and data exploration tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, or Tableau.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure-as-a-service platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack.
• Experience implementing ETL pipelines with custom or packaged tools and software development experience with C/C++ or Java.
