Android Engineer (Social)

Location: Hybrid role based in the New York office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Other listed compensation locations include Menlo Park, Bellevue, Washington, Denver, Westlake, Chicago, Lake Mary, Clearwater, and Gainesville.

Salary: $166,000–$195,000 USD annual base pay for Zone 1 locations. The role also includes potential bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and improve Android experiences for social, creator-driven, and content-rich investing interactions.
• Develop feed, sharing, onboarding, and creator-facing features.
• Own features from inception through design, implementation, and launch.
• Build stable, polished products with Kotlin and modern Android APIs.
• Collaborate with product design, product management, backend, web, and data teams to deliver end-to-end experiences.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer applications at scale.
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, Android SDK, Jetpack, and preferably Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with MVVM, Android architecture components, Gradle, Coroutines and Flow or RxJava, Retrofit, and Room.
• Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code and solve technical challenges.
• Strong product sense and effective collaboration with product managers and designers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; equivalent training or experience is accepted.
