Senior Android Software Engineer

Salary: $208,000–$234,500 annual base salary, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, implement, launch, and maintain critical user-facing features for a flagship Android mobile application.
• Develop features end to end and collaborate on cross-platform initiatives.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions.
• Work with mobile, backend, frontend, UX, product, testing, and quality engineering teams to deliver regulated software.
• Align Android and iOS implementations and identify opportunities to improve mobile developer productivity.
• Define requirements, design mocks, evaluate engineering tradeoffs, and implement regulatory protocols.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience developing Android mobile applications.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and a BS in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.
• Native Android application development experience with Kotlin.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of modern Android frameworks and architecture, such as Jetpack Compose.
• Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

Nice to have

• Passion for UX and empathy for users.
• Familiarity with automated testing.
• Experience with full-stack development, including backend services and web frontends.
• Experience building high-quality public-facing Android applications or hobby projects published on Google Play.
