Analyst, Fund Accounting - Core Credit (Alternative Asset Management)

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Support month-end close, prepare NAV packages, maintain fund-level waterfalls, and calculate performance figures.
• Coordinate investor, limited partner, regulatory, quarterly, and annual accounting reporting.
• Prepare or review financial statements, support audits, and provide information for annual tax preparation.
• Analyze fund profit and loss, investor performance, management fees, incentive fees, expense allocations, and cash liquidity.
• Maintain fund general ledgers and prepare partner capital activity notices and distribution waterfalls.
• Coordinate with Corporate, Operations, Marketing, Tax, Legal, and front-office teams while supporting technology, controls, workflow, and special projects.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of public or private accounting experience, preferably in asset management or alternative investments.
• Strong U.S. GAAP technical accounting expertise.
• College degree with strong academic performance and demonstrated mathematical or analytical ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong quantitative, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, initiative, and work ethic.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward certification.
• Hedge fund, private equity-style fund, or broader financial services experience.
