Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Azure)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with 2 days per week in the office

Salary: CAD 100,000–140,600 annual base salary, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Operate and enhance mission-critical cloud-native products and services in Azure.
• Improve monitoring, observability, reliability, performance, and service quality with product development teams.
• Manage infrastructure deployment pipelines and resolve onboarding and operational issues.
• Build automation and tools that reduce manual work, improve engineering velocity, and increase system reliability.
• Define SLOs and error budgets, support capacity planning, and execute disaster recovery and platform readiness activities.
• Participate in incident, problem, change, and on-call operations, including rotating evening and weekend support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering.
• Expertise with Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM, and Terraform.
• Experience with Azure monitoring and logging tools, observability frameworks, identity platforms, secure access protocols, and synthetic monitoring.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, KQL, vulnerability remediation, Kubernetes, Docker, networking, APIs, scripting, and databases.
• Experience with ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management, onboarding projects, and live production operations.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension and Salesforce.
• Experience with AI/ML-based anomaly detection tools.
