Lead Site Reliability Engineer (Azure)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with two office days each week

Salary: 113,000–142,300 CAD per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the reliability, scalability, and performance of Azure-hosted client environments.
• Lead operational support, onboarding, maintenance, deployments, upgrades, refreshes, rollbacks, and release activities.
• Develop SRE practices, incident response processes, observability frameworks, SLOs, SLIs, and proactive alerting.
• Automate manual processes and build reusable pipelines for high-quality client onboarding.
• Oversee disaster recovery, configuration management, incident postmortems, root cause analysis, and infrastructure readiness.
• Lead workshops, collaborate with product owners and architects, manage stakeholders, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or cloud infrastructure leadership.
• Strong production-grade Microsoft Azure design and operations experience.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of cloud-native monitoring, incident management, networking, virtualization, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and Windows.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana, PowerShell, Bash, APIs, and SQL.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with proven technical leadership and mentoring experience.
