TL;DR
Software Engineering Intern (AI): Building and shipping production web application features and REST APIs for government customers with an accent on full-stack development, testing, and AI-assisted engineering. Location: On-site in Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Salary: $30 per hour

What you will do
- Build and ship features across production web applications and APIs used by government customers.
- Design, document, and implement REST API endpoints with senior engineers.
- Write unit and integration tests alongside feature development.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Investigate bugs and performance issues across the technology stack.
- Explore AI-assisted development tools in everyday engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent program.
- Proficiency in at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, React, or Node.
- Experience building with AI-driven user experiences, agents, or workflow automation; direct machine learning experience is not required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly about technical problems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and a self-starter mindset.
- Availability for the 10-week on-site internship in Boston from June 7, 2027 through August 13, 2027.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Angular, React, or Redux.
- Basic experience with Git or similar version control tools.
- Personal or open-source projects, including GitHub work.
- Strong written or verbal communication skills and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
