Product Engineer II (FastSPICE)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Annual salary: $105,000–$195,000 in California, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Collaborate with the FastSPICE R&D team on technology development and product enhancements.
• Analyze and troubleshoot customer-reported issues involving transistor-level circuit simulations.
• Validate and test product features, methodologies, and improvements.
• Reproduce, debug, and resolve technical issues with development teams.
• Develop and execute simulation test cases to evaluate functionality and performance.
• Document findings and communicate recommendations and resolutions to engineering teams and customers.

Requirements

• MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 0–2 years of relevant experience, or BS with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of MOS transistor-level circuit design and semiconductor fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with SPICE or FastSPICE through coursework, research, internships, or industry experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with analog, mixed-signal, custom digital, or memory circuit design.
• Exposure to EDA tools and simulation methodologies.
• Experience with Python, Perl, or Tcl scripting.
• Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and circuit verification concepts.
