Senior Software Developer (Python/FastAPI)

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of complex applications and core backend services for the Evo cloud-based geoscience platform.
• Design, develop, test, refactor, and operate reliable RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Build and maintain microservices using Python, FastAPI, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• Own release planning and coordination across multiple teams while meeting quality, security, and compliance standards.
• Define and manage technical projects, including plans, risks, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
• Mentor developers and provide technical guidance in cross-functional collaborations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and more than 7 years of software development experience.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs, ideally with Python and FastAPI.
• Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure and containerized deployments using Kubernetes.
• Experience managing cloud resources with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design, automated testing, and unit and integration testing.
• Ability to work autonomously, influence stakeholders, facilitate collaboration, and apply secure, private, and ethical engineering practices.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with modern frontend technologies such as React.
• Experience providing technical leadership and driving team development.
