Staff Software Engineer (AI/DevX)

What you will do

• Set architecture for a cloud-first developer platform across local, remote, and ephemeral development environments.
• Build and scale software factory workflows that automate engineering bottlenecks and enable AI agents to perform development tasks with human oversight.
• Own build systems, CI/CD, developer environments, and internal tooling to reduce build time, deployment risk, and feedback latency.
• Improve environment provisioning, reproducible test data, access controls, building, testing, debugging, and validation workflows.
• Set technical direction, create roadmaps from ambiguous problems, and mentor senior and staff engineers through design reviews and pairing.

Requirements

• Staff-level engineering experience and demonstrated impact.
• Full-stack engineering skills with strong backend and systems expertise.
• Experience moving development workflows to the cloud using VMs, remote environments, preview branches, or sandboxes.
• Experience delivering developer tooling or platform infrastructure that measurably improved engineering velocity.
• Hands-on experience building responsible agentic or AI-powered engineering workflows with human oversight.
• Strong judgment, clear writing, and the ability to create alignment without formal authority.

Nice to have

• Experience with monorepo tooling or large-scale platform migrations.
• Experience building agent harness infrastructure, including evaluation frameworks, orchestration, or LLM sandboxing.
