Talent Acquisition Spec - Craft

Location: Plainfield, Illinois; permanent work location is a regional office, with possible temporary assignments to project sites

Salary: USD 69,800–83,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage full-cycle talent acquisition for the business.
• Source candidates through referrals, data mining, and online resources; evaluate resumes, conduct screening interviews, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
• Coordinate interviews and selection with hiring managers and local HR representatives across offices.
• Maintain the Applicant Tracking System and support HR coordination during onboarding.
• Manage workforce planning activities, including forecast histograms and staffing plans.
• Attend college job fairs and recruiting sessions and support broader HR initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant HR experience and 2+ years in talent acquisition.
• Knowledge of human resources practices, labor and employment laws, EEOC, and FLSA for the applicable area.
• Experience or knowledge in the engineering and construction industry.
• Strong communication, customer service, critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and business-partnering skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines, build credibility with senior management, and work in complex environments.
• A BS in Business with an HR Management focus or equivalent certification or experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Project-site or construction-craft HR experience.
• Knowledge of CB&I products and markets.
