Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with three office days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States. Relocation to Denver is supported with a bonus.

Base compensation: $144,000–$165,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and data engineers to discover, define, cleanse, and refine data for analysis and modeling.
• Analyze and build large, complex datasets to generate insights into customer behavior and product performance.
• Develop statistical and machine learning models, selecting appropriate approaches and optimizing model performance.
• Lead large-scale projects, prioritize initiatives by business impact, and inform experimental design.
• Build trustworthy datasets and become an expert in the hirify.global data ecosystem, including data lakes, distributed systems, and data streams.
• Provide data science mentoring and education across the organization.

Requirements

• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.
• 5+ years of professional data science or machine learning experience with significant business impact.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
• Expert-level Python, database manipulation, query languages, and graph data schemas.
• Strong statistical analysis, problem-solving, data storytelling, and applied machine learning skills.
• Experience working with complex data, feature engineering, data lakes, distributed systems, and data streams.

Nice to have

• Spark or PySpark experience.
• Experimental design and time series analysis experience.
• MLOps experience.
• Conference presentations, professional publications, or recognized contributions to data science and machine learning.
