Analyst-Business Processes (Power BI)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance Monday–Wednesday and remote work Thursday–Friday

What you will do

• Develop Power BI, Power Query, Excel Macros, VBA, and SQL solutions for Accounting and Finance process efficiency.
• Build automated reporting and monitoring tools to detect and resolve issues proactively.
• Gather and document reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Create comprehensive process documentation and detailed flowcharts for knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
• Test and validate reports for accuracy and performance, and troubleshoot data refresh issues.
• Support users and special projects with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Visio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Technical experience with Power BI, Power Query, Excel Macros, VBA, and SQL.
• At least one year of experience in data analytics, BI development, or report writing.
• General understanding of the energy industry and its terminology.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and project-management skills.
• Additional work hours, including occasional weekends and holidays, may be required.

Nice to have

• Prior accounting or financial reporting experience.
