Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) (Cybersecurity)

Location: Boulder, Colorado, with integration support at Buckley SFB in Aurora, Colorado; other ISSO roles are available in Buckley SFB and Colorado Springs.

Salary: $120,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Develop and sustain RMF accreditation packages, including SSPs, risk assessment reports, ATO packages, policies, and SCTMs.
• Work with the ISSM to prepare Assessment and Authorization documentation and support Authorization to Operate decisions.
• Assess and secure system, network, cloud, and cybersecurity architectures across different classification levels.
• Provide information system security operations, integration services, technical assessments, and cybersecurity solutions.
• Develop defensive cyberspace operations and incident response procedures to monitor and protect systems from cyberattacks.
• Apply STIG practices and conduct vulnerability assessments, inspections, tests, and periodic security reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer and creating and maintaining A&A documentation.
• Valid Security+ CE certification and compliance with DoD Directive 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical Level 2 requirements.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience with information security requirements, system security plans, security control assessments, POA&Ms, and ATO decisions.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, operating systems, databases, networking, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and classified and unclassified systems.

Nice to have

• Cloud design and security experience.
• DoD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II certification.
• Experience with CSSP and DCO operations and tools.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, configuration validation, and verification.
• Experience with OPSEC, program protection, personnel security, security training, and classification management.
