Florida Project Development & Environmental (PD&E) Director

Location: West Shore Boulevard, Tampa, Florida; additional locations in Jacksonville and Orlando, Florida.

Salary: $184,970.12–$205,522.35 annually

What you will do

• Build and grow the PD&E practice across Florida, including staff development, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Lead client development, positioning, pursuit strategy, and business growth for PD&E and transportation planning opportunities.
• Serve as a senior client interface with FDOT and federal, state, and local transportation agencies.
• Lead PD&E documents and studies, including preliminary engineering reports, alternatives analyses, feasibility studies, Type 1 and 2 CEs, EAs, and EISs.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams and manage project scopes, budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and delivery strategies.
• Support public involvement, executive briefings, stakeholder presentations, industry participation, and thought leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Planning; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of PD&E and NEPA experience leading complex transportation programs.
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or AICP certification.
• Direct experience delivering transportation planning and PD&E studies, including alternatives analyses, feasibility studies, and environmental documentation.
• FDOT experience, business development success, client management experience, and a record of winning work.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, with strong project, financial, communication, and presentation skills.
