Bodily Injury Claims Specialist (Insurance)

Location: Draper, Utah, United States; initial training is in person, followed by a merit-based work-from-home program as defined by leadership.

What you will do

• Investigate bodily injury claims, assemble facts, determine coverage, evaluate losses, and analyze legal liability.
• Process payments and handle claims according to coverage, damage, liability, and company procedures.
• Participate in claim negotiations, settlements, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Conduct investigations by phone, email, mail, and on site, including meetings with people involved in claims.
• Provide customer service to agents, insureds, and other parties while protecting confidential information.
• Assist with the evaluation and selection of outside counsel and maintain required adjuster licenses.

Requirements

• At least three years of insurance claims experience.
• Ability to organize complex investigations, assimilate information, and reach logical, timely decisions.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate insurance policy language.
• Ability to communicate appropriate claim-handling techniques to people involved in the claim process.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Punctual attendance at an assigned schedule and a company-approved work location; initial training is in person.
