Operations Manager (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Onsite at Cedarbrae Centre in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 88,089–110,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee daily operations and routine maintenance of the Cedarbrae Centre retail asset.
• Manage, mentor, train, and guide the building operations team.
• Address tenant requests and collaborate with clients, vendors, corporate departments, and onsite management.
• Lead capital projects, tenant build-outs, property improvements, tenders, and related business cases.
• Implement preventive maintenance, energy-efficiency, sustainability, and ESG initiatives.
• Manage operational budgets, expense controls, KPIs, and financial targets.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of progressive building operations experience and at least 5 years of leadership experience.
• Experience managing building operators and maintaining strong client and tenant relationships, preferably in retail assets.
• Experience with capital projects, large-scale contracts, RFQs/RFPs, business cases, and property operations budgets.
• Knowledge of emergency management, critical systems, building and fire codes, and Direct Digital Control systems.
• Experience with tenant build-outs, property improvement projects, vendor coordination, and problem-solving.
• Valid driver's license and current authorization to work full-time in Canada required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• SMA, FMA, BES, SMT, HVAC Technician, or 4th/5th Class Power Engineer certification.
• RPA, LEED AP, PMP, or equivalent designation.
• Experience managing ESG projects and working with Construction, Accounting, or Leasing departments.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager, Yardi FM, Angus, or Building Engines.
